A language cannot be learnt properly without speaking. Repeating vocabulary and clue sentences aloud is essential during the process. In Spanish Compass all the actions inside the Virtual Classroom are focused to make the student practise it. Of course, we also work in reading or writing, but always in a secondary importance level compared with the main goal: make the student speak.
The personal attention given by our qualified teachers is absolutely essential to ensure the correct speech of the student and to avoid general mistakes from the beginning. All our courses are based on this rule: a 30 minutes individual class on Skype every 10 words of vocabulary learnt, as a minimum. No other academy online will bring you this level of personalized attention.
Having available a long vocabulary list to memorize without knowing the rules that let you use it is simply useless. Of course, our students know all the corresponding vocabulary of the chosen level at the end of the course, but we present it to them using logic and progressive rules. We offer the clue words for fast progress at the first steps, and we complement them with other secondary according to the progress of each student.
By using the algorithms of our Virtual Classroom combined with the evaluations of our teachers and academic coach, each student will receive the content differently. These decisions are always based on the exact necessities of each learner. Of course, all of them have the same level when they finish the course, but each one has been learning using a personalized order of the contents.
In Spanish Compass we know that if you have to use a foreign language fluidly, you need to understand the logic behind it first. For that reason, all the grammatical explanations, pronunciation rules or translations are always based in comparations with your mother language to allow you comprehensible learning with less effort.
If we compare the contents of a particular course given to 2 students with different mother language, we will see that the content to learn is exactly the same. But, the way to explain the logic behind that content can be totally different. The reason is that we are always aiming for taking profit of the inner mental structures already internalized in each student.
